To be a source of support and encouragement to a student pursuing a LOMA designation.

To explain to the student the advantages of having the designation and help motivate the student to continue enrolling in the courses.

To help the student plan an appropriate course of study.

To maintain regular communication, offer support, suggestions, and perhaps even aid in studying.

To notify the student of classes and review sessions offered by the local LOMA Society, area companies, or local tutors.

To congratulate the student upon passing a course and offer encouragement should setbacks occur.

Welcomes the new designee to the local society upon completion of the program.
